This actually left me thinking….special in today’s techno-savvy world…where each picture, each emotion, each aspect needs approval from hundreds of others we know or do not know…!! Psychology says we need appreciation for survival…Yes, true….but no one says survival depends on appreciation given by others…!!! Take out time today and think about what do you think about yourself…How much do you scale yourself from 1-10 in terms of your looks, personality, emotions, character…and whatever you feel like…!! Seriously think over this…give approvals to Yourself…!!! This is what you need the most…Self-appreciation…!!! Not even a thousand likes on Facebook or a million loves on Insta, will give you that pleasure, what loving or approving oneself gives you…!! Honestly confess, how many of us write the true comments…No one…!!! Most of the time the exaggerated comments are to make other people feel happy but it’s a false projection…Right?? Similarly, what we get as comments, is a false projection of our Real self…!!! And what is real…only we know..!! Learn to accept that reality…!! Love the real your ‘self’…!!! Yes, you got to be your own favourite..Learn to love yourself for whoever you are….whatever you are….How many flaws you own…it’s ok…!! Perfection is God’s character n we are not God…!! Fall in love with yourself and your expectations will be lessened….life will be happier…!! What is happening to us…!! Where are we heading to…!!! The once, rich, cultured, respectful heritage of our country is now in tatters…!!! Our history beholds volumes about the strong, courageous women who fought for the respect and dignity of the country…and now their own respect n dignity is at stake…!!! Yes, times have changed, environment has changed, thought processes have changed…but does 73 years of independence has given us the freedom to demeanour someone’s dignity…!!! A shout out to “Men” of the society… You might be the strongest but what to do of your strength when I am not protected…!!! You might be enduring but what to do of your enduringness when you can’t hold on to your emotions…!!! You might be the toughest but what to do of your toughness when you use it the wrong way…!!! I am sure 99% of men, too feel anger or rage reading about what all is happening but what to do of this anger if we are incapacitated to control even 1% of those spoiling the image of the rest..!! I respect You, I admire You, I might even love You but deep down I am still scared…coz I don’t trust You…!!! Sad but true…!!! And it’s deteriorating day by day…!!! Still, the trust factor is for strangers…but looking at the situations and incidents…very soon…the nearest of relations will.be at stake…!!! Please Please save the society before this happens…!!! All men n women…All my dear friends(no gender bias)…let’s join hands as one and work towards a fearless society…either by taking strong actions or by spreading awareness or just by praying…Do whatever is possible…but Save the Society…!!! Amazing Creative…!! Most of us behave like this…!! First, we put ourselves in grave situations n then we panic so much that we can’t even realize the simplest of solutions..!!! For most of us, the difficulty is a do or die situation…!!! We cry We shout, We panic….but, at times, the solution is too simple…!!! Sometimes walking away from situations is the simplest way…!!! But ‘we’ are ‘we’…how can our problems be simple…!!! You know, many of us love to complicate our situations…simply to tell others how difficult our life is…!!! “God Help Me”…God can help only when you will understand His signs…His language…!!! We are so engrossed in making mountains out of a molehill, that we can’t even realize the Exit signs in front of us coz we had blindfolded ourselves in the imaginary neck-deep situations…!!! Clarity of mind, calmness, peace at heart, discernment…is all what is required…!!! The solutions, mostly, are simple…point is to open eyes and look at them…!!!! Don’t behave like Tom Sawyer…’I am dying coz I have a toothache’ (if you remember Mark Twain’s novel we read in schools). Though a petty message but says a lot…!!! A very common scenario these days….texting and expecting replies…!!! Yes, technology has improved but have the mindsets improved ?? The varied emotions are there to portray our emotions but do we display our real emotions…!!! Most of us must be the ones fitting the above creative…prompt repliers…valuing the other person’s emotions, urgency…!!! It doesn’t mean we are available 24*7 but it means that we care…we value your time n effort…we are concerned about you….!!! We appreciate that you remember us…!!! I, too, am busy…I, too, can pretend…I, too, can reply late…but again, why …what is the need…!!! Why again, to lie…to be dishonest…!!! Though a very trivial matter but says a lot…!!! Maybe you want to ignore me…Maybe I am too bugging…Maybe I am not worth your attention…so many May is prompt up with a ‘no-reply’ from someone…!!! Peers…dictionary explains them as a companion, associates, match….in short, another name for a ‘not to close friend’…!!! Then where does the term ‘peer pressure’ came from ?? Why n when n how associates become competitors or rivals ?? It’s good to compete but healthy competition…!! Why rat race…?? Why debilitated rivalry ?? What is the need to prove that you are better than others or best of all…!!! And even if you need to compete…what is the point of beating yourself to limits to prove so…?? Why push yourself so hard, why pressurize yourself so much…why fake..when you know what you are…!!! Who asks you…who forces you…!!! None other than your own self…!!! Which is in dire need to satisfy it’s own ego to be the best…!!! And so we choose the wrong way… to compete…and in that course…seeps in the pressure to maintain that scale…that level of being best…and we label it again on others…( our fav job of labeling)…” peer pressure”….though it’s we not them who is forcing that pressure on oneself…!!! What if the competition is healthy…What if we hold each other’s hands and say…Hey buddy…come along…let’s do it together…The ” Ubuntu”…we are one…there is no competition…if you will rise, I will rise with you…What if “Peer power” is cultivated instead of “pressure”…What if oneness is taught instead of segregation…What a beautiful world it would be…The one we all want to live in…The one we aspire for…!!! How true…How apt….esp for our society…rather for most of us too….!!! What’s cooking next door…!!! Who bothers about their own broth..!!! Family, relatives, neighbors, celebrities, politicians…so many lives to be rectified…The list is never-ending…!!! Others lifestyle, their dresses, their shoes, their behavior…I mean almost everything is under scrutiny…!!! And how happy we are in giving unwanted suggestions for improvements..!! He should do this…She should wear this…!!! Even the maids of the household are not spared…!! Gossip, suggestions, discussions, debates…Ufff…!!! Who has time to see at their own self…!!! If ‘others’ are our fav topic, we are ‘others’ for them too….we might be their topic of discussion…!!! And tell me one thing…despite all the discussions, suggestions, proposals…How many lives have you changed…?? None…I suppose…!!! So all that is a mere waste of energy n time..!! And what if we use that time wisely, to invest in ourselves…to rectify ourselves…to mend ourselves…How improved we would be…!!! If each one person works only to transform himself…erasing the shortcomings and filling up the positivities…How beautiful the world would become..!! Instead of discussing people at the dinner table…what if we openly and proudly discuss…I worked on my anger today…I think my behavior is a bit rude…I must work on my jealousy, I have a lot of it…so many issues to work on…!!! Bring it up Man…change the conversations…Focus on yourself…appreciate the ones who do this effort of self-improvement…!!! Look inside and not outside…!!! Going Down The Memory Lane…

How many of you relate to this..!! I do…!!! Going down the memory lane, I can still recall the kind of love I have received from both my maternal and paternal grandparents…!!! The pampering…The unconditional love…The care…The pride they held in us…All is unmatachable…!!! Most of you might still be enjoying this bliss…!! And I remember our parents guiding us alwyz how to respect, how to find solace in the lap of elders…!!! And I, too, remember, my Daadi n Naani,being my ATM cards…my Jinnies…!!! You ask and the wish was granted…!!! On the other hand, the grandpas taught us morals, lessons of life…What an amazing time it was ..!!! I am sure most of us can relate to this..!!! But what I am not sure is, how many kids, now a days can relate to this..!!! With the concept of nuclear families paving in…with the low thresholds of patience and tolerance…the grandmas and grandpas are a bit cornered…!!! Not everywhere but mostly what I hear or see is rejection…the unwantedness being faced by the elders of our society…!!! What is the need of old age homes…!! Why even the concept of this ??? So many movies…so many dramas…so many stories…still the elders are mistreated…!!! Yes, they are not updated like your smartphones or computers…Yes, they still like to eat or sit the way they are comfortable…Yes, they want to guide you from their years of experience….Yes, they are old …senile…But they are Yours…!!! They still have the same arms which cradled you…the same legs which ran after you to protect you….the same eyes which beheld that pride, which captured your future and made you what you are…All is still the same…except a few wrinkles and a lesser energy…!!! They held you then…They need you now..!! They supported you then…They need your shoulder now…!!! Give it back to them…bring the smiles back…erase the wrinkles…be the support…be their strength…!!! Let your house be full of laughters and shrieks of Dadajisss and Daadijisss…let your kids enjoy the bliss…Don’t deprive them of this blessing…!!!
